You heard it right, chocolate fanatics.
The competition included over 400 entries from all over the globe showing qualitative growth in every region. Similarly, the judging panel included food writers, cacao and chocolate experts, journalists, bloggers, chefs and chocolate tasters from Europe, Japan, South America and the USA and members of our international Grand Jury panel.
Proudly so, Toronto’s own SOMA’s Porcelana, derived from the holy grail of cacao beans, won gold in the “plain/origin dark chocolate bars” category. This means that Toronto officially is home to world’s best chocolate at SOMA.
